Mr. Godfrey’s experience as the Vice President of Contract Distributors Corp., one of the nation’s largest commercial floor covering contracting firms, and his years of experience in retail floor covering sales & sales management, flooring manufacturing sales  & distribution, has enabled him to develop a unique perspective enabling him to  develop a clientele roster that includes Fortune 500 companies, Government Agencies, the Insurance Industry, the Legal Profession, Floor Covering Manufacturers, Flooring Distributors, Retail Floorcovering Dealers, Flooring Contractors and Floorcovering Consumers. Mr.Godfrey’s clientele list includes recognized leaders in the builder/developer industry in addition to national corporate retailers and litigation clientele.

Since 1980 Mr.Godfrey has provided professional flooring consultation, thousands of certified residential inspections and has been retained in more than 900 flooring related construction defect litigations. The litigations have taken place in 17 states, Mexico and England. Mr. Godfrey has become a nationally recognized authority regarding the evaluation of problematic flooring materials and installation procedures pertaining to carpet, wood, floor tile, LVP/LVT, other types of resilient flooring and applied coatings. Mr. Godfrey maintains his level of expertise by maintaining a continual program of training and education. This combination of experience, continual training and education enables him to accurately and scientifically analyze today’s complex floor covering materials, installation procedures and related substrate issues. Mr. Godfrey enhances his education and expertise with attendance at numerous educational programs throughout the year. Mr. Godfrey is often requested to speak at seminars and educational programs sponsored by members of the flooring, insurance, and construction industries.

Mr.Godfrey has performed thousands of evaluations involving individual homeowner’s residences, Individual housing tracts numbering more than 100 homes, large condominium developments and large commercial buildings. The largest building the firm has evaluated exceeds 2 million square feet. Since 1980  Mr. Godfrey has provided substrate moisture testing, flooring installation and material consultation to numerous national retail companies and their General Contractors.  Mr. Godfrey has published articles in national flooring magazines. The articles pertain to a wide variety of floor covering related problems.  He is a recipient of the San Diego County prestigious award, the John Larrabee “Award for Excellence” for his contributions to the floor covering industry.

The San Diego Forensic Consultants Association (SDCFCA) elected Mr. Godfrey to serve as President in1995. He also served on the association Board of Directors and as the SDCFCA’s Director of Education for 2 years. Mr. Godfrey served as the President of the Southern California Chapter of the International Concrete Restoration Institute (ICRI) for 5 years.  He is a past member of the ICRI’s National Board of Directors. During his professional career, Mr. Godfrey has served as an officer and/or director of other numerous professional industry organizations.
